Pa - tri - ar - chy, noun
Etymology: from ancient Greek, “rule of the father”.

A societal system in which men hold the bulk of the social, political and economic power, and which works to maintain itself, often through the subjugation of women.

By looking at evidence from various studies and reports, as well as the stories from real women in science, we reveal just how insidious the effects of this system are.
